David
(00:00):
Hey everyone. Welcome back in this video. I'm going to talk to you about 62nd video ads with automatic placements. Now there's no need to even explain this with an example, because it's very straight into the point. If you have a video ad that is less than 60 seconds, I highly suggest you test it with automatic placements. It automatically will put your ad on both Facebook and Instagram and all other placements while then testing to see whether or not it is performing across those placements. Simultaneously. If all of a sudden that video ad is performing well on let's say Facebook, it'll start to move more of that budget just to Facebook and vice versa. It does well on Instagram. It'll push more budget to Instagram, especially if let's say Instagram stories are doing well. You'll start to notice that a lot of the budget goes there.
David (00:50):
Same thing with feeds or any other placement that does well once set to automatic. No, if it's more than 60 seconds, it's not going to work with automatic because it's not going on every single platform it's only going on Facebook. So keep in mind that if you're using something that's less than 60 seconds use automatic placements, give it a shot. Now, once you're done testing, meaning you have a cab, you let's say you have accumulated 20, 30 leads. Maybe you've had 50 purchases of a product. Now you could split off the placements that are doing well and do a custom campaign to where the placement is only targeting Facebook feed, only targeting Instagram feed, or maybe it's only targeting the Instagram and Facebook stories, or it's only targeting Facebook and Instagram feed nothing else, but do this after you've tested automatic placements with the 62nd or less video, if you keep it to 15 seconds, it's going to show in Instagram stories a lot more because if you have a longer form video, let's say it's 45 seconds.
David (01:54):
It could be cut into three 15, second segments for Instagram stories. If it's 50 seconds, it's not going to do that. If it's a 32nd video, you'll notice your ad will turn into a two part Instagram story. So keep that in mind as well. So once again, if you have a 62nd or less video test, automatic placements, highly suggested if you have something that's 45 seconds, you're actually going to be able to use Instagram stories a lot more effectively because it will be chopped into three 15 second segments. And of course, if you use a 15 second video, well now you're optimized for everything. Every single placement and your ad will show up a lot more on stories. So if you've ever thought about whether or not you need to test automatic placements, especially with video, I think now's the time to do so.
