David
(00:00):
Hey everyone. Welcome back in this video. We're talking about targeting specifically with email lists. Now I know this might seem very simple. Obviously this is one of the first audiences that most people start with. If they already have an existing business, whether it's a lead list, customer list, phone list, so on and so forth. So let me break this down for you a little further. Now, in this account, we're talking brand new business. They just started to generate sales. And in the very beginning, we didn't have an email list. So as we were able to generate enough purchases, we simply just uploaded the customers, right? It's just all customers in the account, nothing else. But if we take it a step further, and let's say, we look at a business that has been operating for years and has multiple programs, you could take this a step further.
David (00:49):
You can have buyers of different programs. You can have leads from different programs and break it down. From there, the importance of having an email list uploaded to your custom audiences in Facebook is absolutely crucial. What I often tell people is this. You want to look at each level of audience that you can create within Facebook so that you can create, look alike audiences and expand from there. So here's what I mean. Let's break down the different types of email lists. You can have, you can have the leads themselves. So the email addresses, you can have phone numbers and then we'll take it further. You can have just leads people. Who've never bought from you. People who have bought from you, then you could take it another step further. They bought individual programs. As you can see on your screens, there's multiple programs. You can break it down by each program.
David (01:36):
You can have an email list of people who've bought more than one program, and then take it further and say, everyone who's bought a high-end program of over a thousand dollars, or they've bought all low ticket stuff below a hundred dollars. Each segment has its own level of importance. So if you're trying to sell something, that's a hundred dollars and you have 3000 people, who've already bought something at less than a hundred dollars. You want to create a CSV file of all the email addresses of those buyers and load them into Facebook. Because creating a lookalike audience of those people means you're creating a similar audience to people. Who've already bought a product at that price point. And that's what you want. If you're selling something at a hundred bucks, same thing. If it's a $500 course or a $5,000 coaching program, you want all the information of those who already matched the profile of something they've already bought.
David (02:29):
Let's take it further. Let's say you want to generate a lot of phone calls. Clearly you can upload the lead list, but what about the people who applied? What about the emails of every person who booked the call or maybe the phone numbers of every person who booked a call and the phone numbers of every person who submitted an application. This is the information you need in order to expand the audiences. And they all come from your email list. So make sure if you already have an existing business to upload your email list into Facebook and start creating those audiences immediately.
