LESSON OVERVIEW

Video 01: Overview of Campaigns

  • A campaign is essentially where you're going to be hubbing all of your audiences and your ads - It's basically the central dashboard.
  • When you log in to the ads manager you will see all your campaigns and you have the tabs, everything from campaigns to ad sets to ads.
  • You can look at things that you've deleted, things that are paused, things that are active, so on and so forth. The whole intent of you getting to know the ads manager is so you know exactly which campaigns, which audiences and which ads are available for scale, meaning which ones are actually producing the results that you're looking for.
  • If you are an unfamiliar with how to use the ads manager now is the time for you to dig through, learn each tab, learn how to duplicate ad sets, learn how to create them, learn how to set up an ad, etc.
  • When you click on the "create" button, they always make it to where it's very simple to just learn more about what it is that you're trying to create. So if you're looking to create a conversion campaign, meaning you want to set up something to get leads, or you want something for purchases, they will walk you through every single step.
  • So that is how you go about understanding the campaign view. If for any reason you get stuck. The other great thing is Facebook has what's called the Facebook blueprint, where they walk you through exactly what each section of the campaign means and what you can do in order to set up a campaign properly.

LESSON TRANSCRIPT

David (00:00):

Hey, everyone. Welcome back in this video. We're going to talk about overviews of the campaign. Now, what exactly is a campaign? This is essentially where you're going to be hubbing all of your audiences and your ads, right? It's basically the central dashboard. Now, as you can see on your screen, this is the ads manager. This is what everyone sees. When they log in to the ads manager, it's all your campaigns. And you have the tabs, everything from campaigns to ad sets to ads. And this is where you're able to view everything that you had deployed. You can look at things that you've deleted, things that are paused, things that are active, so on and so forth. The whole intent of you getting to know the ads manager is so you know exactly which campaigns, which audiences and which ads are available for scale, meaning which ones are actually producing the results that you're looking for.

David (00:50):

Now that may seem like common sense, but consider this oftentimes many people don't know what they're looking at. So what I'm going to do is break down how you're able to look at your campaigns, see which ones are worth scaling, which ones are worth exploring further through testing, so on and so forth. So if you are an unfamiliar with how to use the ads manager now is the time for you to dig through, learn each tab, learn how to duplicate ad sets, learn how to create them, learn how to set up an ad. And we're going to go be going through those types of elements shortly. But remember this takes practice. It takes a lot of time to understand how to do things quickly on the platform as it's always evolving. So if for any reason you get stuck, the great thing about Facebook is they always have walk-throughs.

David (01:34):

So for example, when you click on the create button, they always make it to where it's very simple to just learn more about what it is that you're trying to create. So if you're looking to create a conversion campaign, meaning you want to set up something to get leads, or you want something for purchases, they will walk you through every single step. It's very clear, cut and dry as to what you have to do. So that is how you go about understanding the campaign view. If for any reason you get stuck. The other great thing is Facebook has what's called the Facebook blueprint, where they walk you through exactly what each per, what each section of the campaign means and what you can do in order to set up a campaign properly. So in the next video, we'll go through even more detail.
