In this video, we're going to talk about how do you get JVS to actually do promos for you. Now, this is kind of one of those the chicken or the egg, which came first, because it seems like a catch 22 where you really need to get a lot of great results to get the big guys to promote for you and get consistent, you know, webinar promos on the books. But you can't do that. If you can't get webinars on the books, right? It's like, I need results to get more results, but you know, I need to get those results first before anybody will promote for me. So one of the things that I did early on in my career back in 2011, 2012, is I started doing affiliate marketing first, before I really asked anybody to promote any my own products.
I would promote their products first. And eventually I started building up a, an email list. And then when people would do product launches, I would promote, I would participate in the product launch in the contest, and I started making the top 10 leaderboards. And then when you start hitting those leaderboards, you certainly can get those people to reciprocate and promote for you. I'm not saying that that's the way that you have to do it now, because times have changed, but I'm going to give you some resources that are still perfectly viable today that can help you build up your connections and your relationships with the other affiliates, other marketers in JVs to promote your products.
Number one is a friend of mine, Chris, great guy, been in the business a long time. He has MunchEye is still a great calendar of events for upcoming launches. You can see some of these on warrior forum, somewhere on JV zoo still. This is another thing I was going to get to was that you can actually advertise on here. Even if you don't know JVs or nobody knows who you are, you can advertise, right? You can spend a little bit of money and, you know, unfortunately that's just a way that you can actually buy your way into this world is to just spend money on it. Okay. It's the same thing on JV zoo. You can come over to JV zoo and, you know, you can advertise on here. I think they started doing this in 2015 because I was one of the first to put banners. One of the first few, uh, product launches on here, uh, was Shopify store pro to pay for an ad spot. I think it was like 1200 or 1500 somewhere in that range, but it promoted at the very top.
So anybody that logged in would see that we had a launch coming up. Wouldn't matter if they knew me or not. If it was a product that was in of interest to them, that was a fit for their niche. They would click on it and perhaps sign up to promote our launch. And so we did quite well with that. I mean, we did 180,005 days with Shopify store pro. So it wasn't a massive launch, but you know, six-figure launches is, you know, respectable. So this not only is a place where you can advertise your own launches or you might be able to use these still, I don't use JV zoo anymore. But you can put your products on here for sell for sale. But the reason why I'm bringing up these sites is that you can do a lot of research.
If you come to JV zoo and create an account as a seller and you or an affiliate go to jvc.com forward slash affiliates and you'll find products, right? And that's the screen that you see here, and you can find some of the top selling products of all time on here. You could see earnings per click, the average price, how much commission, you know, the refund rate. If it's got a refund rate that's really high, you probably don't want to promote that product because obviously there's something kind of disconnect. But you know, five, 6% is not uncommon in the internet marketing space, especially when you get up in these kinds of numbers. But the good thing is you can search for keywords. So if you're selling a product on Facebook ads, you can find other people that have products on Facebook ads.
It would be a good fit for it. If you're in the e-commerce niche, you're looking at Shopify products, you can find people that have related products that have already sold products, and then you can sign up to be an affiliate. You can reach out to them on other platforms like Facebook and, you know, start following them, try to make that connection, reach out to them, email them. It's going to take a little bit of legwork on your part at first, if this is your first time getting into this niche or trying to find JVs. So MunchEye is a good place to start. JV zoo find products. Of course, ClickBank is a massive marketplace for digital products as well. And also JV notify pro. This is another launch type of board where you can pay to promote your launches.
You can find a lot of affiliates in here. It's going to take a lot of legwork, but these are the sites that you can go to find affiliates, to connect, to find who's doing what, and what types of products, you know, and also kind of do some recon on what other successful marketers and affiliates are doing with their JV pages. Cause you'll find a lot of JV pages on here it's really easy to do, especially let's go in here and click on literally any one of these.
You can find most of the time they have ways to contact them. They'll have their clip on the seller instead of the product itself, but it would have a JV page on here usually. You can see what other people are doing with theirs. You can sign up to promote these things and, you know, just connect with other affiliates and try to get people on board. Again, this is why I recommend that you at least do your own webinar once, whether you have an existing email list, whether you have a nice social media following, or if you have to just spend money on ads, get some meaningful results. So that at least you can reach out and say, we did our own promo. Here's where the results were. And you know, if you're interested, if this is a fit, you know, the talk about a promo that's simple. It's a numbers game. Keep reaching out to people. Don't accept no for an answer until you find people that are going to promote for you. Start building those relationships reciprocate when you can. And before long, you're going to have a thriving, affiliate or marketing or webinar business that you can count on every single month.
